How to get more engagement on LinkedIn
Learn how to be on top of your LinkedIn game
In this newsletter, I will show you how to book more demos & calls from LinkedIn by using the algorithm to your advantage.
In the last 30 days these tactics generated over $30k MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) for Marketing for Founders while generating over 100,000 impressions and 25 meetings.
In fact, this post alone accounted for almost half of those numbers:
This is boosted now, but it got 60,000 impressions + 10 meetings in the first 24 hours
If you’re a founder trying to get some ROI from your LinkedIn without wasting hours per day on the platform, this is for you.
I’ll show you how to…
Build a community in comments
Create posts with value
Generate TONS of engagement
Be consistent with your posting cadence
Haven’t optimized your profile yet?
Before you start engaging, you need to optimize your profile for conversions.
You will start driving a lot more visitors to your profile, and you want it to act like a landing page to drive demos.
Hubspot built a great guide for that.

Let’s get into it!
Build your community with comments.
LinkedIn thrives in community engagement.
When getting started, commenting and engaging will accelerate your growth 10x faster than posting.
Here’s how to find your community in the comments
Be active with about 20-30 daily comments
Make comments that provide value
Stay genuine in your help
Here is an example of a good comment:
That got me a meeting with the poster.
And it only takes about one minute per comment.
Give Value & Focus on Quality
When you give value on LinkedIn overtime, you become an authority on that niche.
LinkedIn users gravitate towards content that helps solve a problem or informs them. Being an authority helps you drive leads into your DMs as they want to learn more.
There are different ways to give value on LinkedIn: carousels, short-form, and long-form content.
The best-performing content on LinkedIn is long format.
1000-1500 characters long, and educational.
This post got me 4 new customers and over $20k in revenue.
There was no hard sell. Just pure value.
Build Engagement With Messaging
Ask your connections to engage and comment on your posts to build virality.
Do this often, and the algorithm will prioritize your post on people’s feeds, which gives you more visibility.
Here’s an example of a simple message to engage your connections and drive some virality on your new posts.
John used that message to engage his connections and get 30+ comments in 2 hours on this post.
Ask for a repost and their thoughts; you can even run polls to drive engagement and ask for people to vote.
Be Consistent.
20 minutes per day is better than 1 hour every 3 days.
LinkedIn wants users who are spending time on the platform every day.
I schedule my posts to go live at 8:50-9:00 AM each day.
I spend the 20 minutes around that by:
Commenting on 5-10 posts.
Sending 15-20 messages.
“Liking” 20+ posts.
Post Early, take advantage of the morning rush
Catch people when they’re logging on, drinking their coffee, and catching up on colleagues.
The best time to post is morning time 8 AM-11
AM in the time zone of your customers.
You don’t need to hit everything on this list perfectly but the effects compound over time and really start to snowball over weeks and months.
I started getting serious with my posting in September.
Now I’m getting 100,000+ impressions and driving $30k/month in revenue from LinkedIn
I also spent a few hours updating my profile to make it convert to meetings more.
I wrote about it last week here:
