Launch a webinar in 3 hours

My method and tools to launch a webinar that generates leads & drives revenue

Things get hectic as your business starts to take off, and I'm starting to feel that with Marketing For Founders.

I talked to about 50 of you last week, wrote 20+ marketing plans for new Marketing for Founders members, and launched a new perk. (300+ growth tech discounts)

But a lot of these things are hard. New features don't come easy, and you try writing 20 high-quality marketing plans! One is enough!

So sometimes we need to feed ourselves some EASY wins.

My go-to easy win is a webinar.

They are low commitment - you only have to do one.
They are cheap to launch - Zoom is free
You get content out of it - videos & blogs can be repurposed
YOU GET A TON OF ENGAGED LEADS - everyone is there to hear YOU talk

Let's get into how to do it in less than 3 hours of work.

Create the right subject by focusing on your buyer's stress. (30 Minutes)

Here’s an example focusing on driving demos as the primary stressor:

Your subject should tick these three boxes:

- You are focusing on a critical stressor for your audience (Booking Demos)
- Your audience is specific and easy to target (DIY B2B SaaS Founders)
- Your outcome is clear (skills, tools, and a step-by-step guide

Now, you can take it to your audience.

Get signups with a really clear message (60 Minutes)

I use the “Preview, Proof, Preview” method

Use this messaging across all of your promotional channels. Let’s get into them now.

Build your webinar by starting small. (30 Minutes)

Start with Zoom & LinkedIn Events

You don’t need to add automation, outbound campaigns, and ads. It doesn’t need to be perfect.
Start small and grow.

Here’s a step-by-step guide.

Invite as many people as possible on LinkedIn (It costs $0)

Use this template to plan and execute your messaging campaign

Plan your presentation. (30 Minutes)

I start with a Notion document laying out the main points. Then, I fill in the details I want to share on the deck
And then, I add my talking points

Once I have everything built out in a straightforward document, I put it together in a simple PowerPoint.

During the webinar, I keep my outline open on another screen to help me stick to my talking points

Convert attendees to demos wth a solid follow-up plan. (30 Minutes)

This is exactly what I do at the end of each webinar and it works every time:

1. Create a “Social Contract” with my audience, telling them what to do next.

2. Create actionable next steps in an email & discuss them in your webinar

3. Follow up ASAP! Within an hour. Get to them while you're still top of mind.
